The LEGO® SOFT Imagination Set, launched in January 2005, won a Gold Award in the UK Practical Preschool awards in 2004. The set features large soft bricks and new 2D elements that can be attached to the bricks to give them living features such as tails or wings - or long strips that help create bridges and tunnels. The judges commended the new elements as a great supplement, enabling children to find many new ways to use SOFT bricks. All age ranges and abilities are able to join in with this set.
 
The software program used for LEGO® MINDSTORMS™ for Schools was honoured the Special Award in the Digita2001 Deutscher Bildungssoftware Preis. The jury emphasised the exceptional didactic and technical software concept, which succeeds in combining new and old learning processes, allowing for individual learning curves fully adapted to students from age 8 to 16+.
 
   
A Practical Preschool Bronze Award went to the Learning Games Set launched in January 2004. The set includes four different board games based on popular themes like animals and shopping. It is a unique concept in that it targets children as young as three. Judges commended the set saying; with some support to get them started youngsters are able to play independently and to vary the themes. The game provides plenty of scope for extended play.
 
LEGO® SOFT bricks won two major awards in the Early Childhood educational Sector: The British Educational Resources Awards 2000 for "Teaching Resources Special Education" and the American Early Childhood Directors Award.
 
   
LEGO Educational Division won the approval of the Worlddidac Quality Charter in June 2004. The charter aims to increase the quality of learning and teaching by utilizing the best educational products available. Winning companies have to demonstrate that they have experience in the field of education and that their products have proven educational value. LED won the award for a number of key reasons including the extent of penetration of educational institutions worldwide.
 
For Special Education judges look particularly for the innovative nature of products designed specifically to meet the requirements of children with special needs. The judges saw that LEGO SOFT they would enhance the everyday life of special needs pupils in that they would allow them to experiment with their own physical capacity and their relationship to the world around them.
 
   
LEGO Educational Division won the 2003 Education Resources Award for Early Years Resources. The British Education Resources Awards highlight the quality, innovation and diversity of educational products and resources. Judges said that the range takes LEGO Company into a new dimension for imaginative small-world play. The chunky pieces support hand-eye co-ordination and manipulation skills. The delightful topics and themes inspire children in their construction and impact upon their linguistic development and design technology skills. The kits also encourage high levels of social interaction.
 
The software program used in the LEGO® MINDSTORMS™ for Schools kits was conferred the BETT award based on nominations from British teachers and the British educational industry. The prize is designed to reward excellence in product design and usage and to reflect achievement in all areas of information and control technology.
 
   
The software program used for the LEGO® MINDSTORMS™ for Schools kits won the category of Best Education Software at the Eddy Awards 2001. The Eddy Awards are the Apple Macintosh industry's highest distinction for breakthrough product development and are given to the year's top software and hardware products in 25 categories.
 
The eLAB product line was honoured the Worlddidac Award by an international jury of experts in 2000. The products are rated highly due to their pedagogical value as well as their multi-functionality and adaptability.
 
     
An international Jury granted the Worlddidac Award 2002 for LEGO® MINDSTORMS™ for Schools, and Teachers Guides. In particular, the jury appreciated the product's pedagogical innovation, degree of interactivity and performance/cost ratio. It was seen as a tool that enables students to discover many aspects of technology in a way that is fun. Complex operations can be performed by everyone and thereby sharpen the imagination of the user.
